We had a whole collection of faded plastic pumpkin buckets from trick or treating of years past. I hated to throw them away but they were ugly. So this past weekend we quickly glammed them up with a sparkly makeover.
What you need:
- black spray paint (we used the super cheap $.99 can from Home Depot)
- Nail polish -- we like glitter the best
Luckily for us we had lots of old globby glitter nail polish we wanted to use up so this project only cost us 2 cans of $.99 spray paint and we got a whole collection of gorgeous, sparkly pumpkins for $1.98.
We painted the pumpkins black on Friday and let them dry overnight. On Saturday morning we overpainted the facial cutouts with the glitter nail polish. So easy and fun. And now our pumpkin pails are sparkly new and ready for many Halloweens to come!
