Making the most of your money at Lee Premium Outlets (Lee)

Headed to the Lee Premium Outlets for back-to-school shopping? We recently hit up the complex and scored a lot of great deals. If you do a little prep work before leaving home, you can save even more than the on-site discounts offered. 

For starters, you can visit the Lee Premium Outlets website to see what sales are currently being offered. While on the site, you can also sign up for the VIP Club to be eligible to receive a coupon booklet for additional discounts. You can retrieve your booklet at customer service once you arrive (upper level in the food court). As a VIP, you will also receive email coupons and sales alerts throughout the year. 

You can also find other seasonal deals on the website, for example:

• August 29 is Teacher Appreciation Day. Teachers can show their MTA ID at the customer service booth to receive a special coupon booklet for additional savings that day only.
• September 4-7 is the Labor Day Sidewalk Sale. There will be additional discounts offered, and extended shopping hours. 

You should also know that certain stores from the same parent company will cross promote each other with special coupons at checkout. For example, if you make a purchase at IZOD, Van Heusen, or GH Bass & Co, you will receive printable coupons with your receipt to use at the parent retailer's other stores in the mall. Be sure to check all the pages of your receipt before you stuff it in your purse/pocket. 

It always pays to do an online coupon search for any store you plan on checking out while you're there. Just type in the name of the store and "printable coupon." I found the following offers just by doing a quick search:

• Carters: printable coupon for an extra 30% off any purchase of $60 or more
• Eddie Bauer: printable coupon for 25% off your total purchase
• Famous Footwear: printable coupon for 15% off your purchase
• Gap Outlet: printable coupon for 15% off your purchase
• J Crew: all teachers receive a 15% discount on full-price merchandise just by showing their teacher ID. 
• If you plan on using your VISA card while shopping at the Lee outlets, check this link for printable coupons for many of the stores (must use VISA to pay for purchase). 

I love shopping at the Lee Premium Outlets because they have all the stores we want/need without overwhelming us with too many choices. I find some of the other outlet malls in New England totally intimidating by their sheer size. At Lee, I can get in, get what I need, and get back home without wasting any time. Happy shopping!
